The Uttar Pradesh government was decided to build the international airport in Jewar. More than seventy percent of the farmers are provided their loan to the airport project. The UP Government has approved the report of Social Impact Assessment for the Jewar international airport. The special secretary said that the UP government will soon release the rupees 1500 crores to the district magistrate account for the farmer of Jewar.
This money is a transfer for the compensation to the Jewar farmer who provided the land to the airport project. The rehabilitation takes place depends on the Land Acquisition, Resettlement, and Rehabilitation Act. The social impact assessment report is compulsory for the land notification for the acquisition. The administration of the district is managed to purchase the land for the airport project from the farmer. Over seventy percent of the landowner is agreed to provide the land to the project.
Required 1330 hectare land for Airport project in 1st phase
The teams of Social Impact Assessment have designed the complete power-point presentation of the International airport project in Jewar. In the presentation, you can also find the land acquisition and resettlement problems in the meeting by the chief secretary. The meeting was conducted in Lucknow on 25th September 2018.
In the meeting, the Social Impact Assessment team told that 1330 hectare of land is required for the first phase. Based on the Land purchase and rehabilitation Act 2013, the resettlement takes place and it offers some benefits for both the land owner and purchaser. Gautam Buddha University, Bachchu Singh and registrar told that the report of Social Impact Assessment was accepted in the meeting.
The district administration of Uttar Pradesh was stated that the airport project is affected more than seventy percent of the families has provided written approval for the Land purchase. Gangwar’s letter condition that this report is discussed about the details of the airport project and it was approved the airport project.

Gautam Buddha University faculty members were prepared the Social Impact Assessment report for the international airport project in Jewar. Eight faculty members are Neeti Rana, Pratiksha Saxena, Roopali Srivastava, Siddaramu B, Anant Pratap Singh, Lalit Gupta, and others. Gautam Buddha University and registrar told the Impact Assessment report was accepted on September 25th in the meeting.
Gangwar has recommended for the chief minister approval by the Civil Aviation minister of Uttar Pradesh and Yogi Adityanath. District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, and Balram Singh told that the experienced team is in document verifying process of the land owners. The tehsildar, SDM, and other experts are verifying the land document before they sing in the document. The experts will finish the entire paperwork and then submit it to the UP government for the preliminary land notification for purchase soon. The SIM team told that 1,334 hectares of the land are needed to purchase for an airport project in the first phase.
