The current government led by Narendra Modi has worked effectively for the development, security, and the Public wellbeing of the country during its term in power, Sushma Swaraj, union minister conveyed in her speech during a recent election meeting in Noida.

Ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Swaraj was addressing a victory pledge meeting of the BJP where she pointed out the accomplishments of her cabinet colleagues as well as the BJP’s candidate from the Gautam Buddh Nagar, Mahesh Sharma.

There lies a sense of responsibility in a democracy which means that you convey some assurances to the public when you reach out to them for vote appeals and so if you want them to vote for you again, you must provide them the complete outline of your promises,” the union minister of external affairs said.

Swaraj further said that in order to analyze the amount of works executed by the government, one should view its dedication towards three aspects which are quite important, national security, public happiness, and country’s infrastructure advancement.

“Keeping these important aspects in mind, in my view, our government has done exceedingly well and these are the elements through which the voters should evaluate any government,” she said.

Sushma Swaraj, who is not going to contest in the upcoming polls citing health reasons said that, “we executed surgical and air strikes after the Uri and Pulwama attacks that clearly exhibits our stand on the national security front.”

The opposition has more than often condemned Modi for his visits to foreign countries, but the global support during the terror attacks that India accumulated was a result of those efforts of the PM, the union minister said.

She also criticized the previous government led by Congress on the way they handled the state of the country after the terror attacks on Mumbai in 2008.

Swaraj referred the instant release of Abhinandan Varthaman, Indian Air Force (IAF) wing commander in just two days of him being seized in Pakistan and termed it as a “diplomatic victory” for the nation.

The IAF officer was apprehended last month in Pakistan following a dogfight where his fighter aircraft was shot down.

Swaraj was full of praises for Mahesh Sharma earlier during the meeting and referred to him as her younger brother. “I am initiating my election meetings for Lok Sabha 2019 today from Noida and take great pleasure in requesting you all to vote for Mahesh,” she said while pointing out his work as the local MP and union culture minister.

She welcomed the development endeavors like the Noida-Greater Noida metro connectivity and the forthcoming international airport in Jewar which is believed to be the biggest airport in the nation.

In the coming times there may come a day when there is a question about which is the biggest airport in India on Kaun Banega Crorepati and then the citizens of this territory can say with utmost pleasure, it’s Jewar,” Swaraj concluded.
